What we’ve shipped

Product updates, newest first.

  1. Improved

Task search, status filters, and dark mode

Filter and search tasks straight from the URL, work comfortably on a phone, and switch between light, dark, and system themes.

Polish across the surfaces you touch most:

    • Task filters in the URL. Status filters and text search live in the page address, so views can be bookmarked, shared, and revisited with the back button.
    • Mobile task cards. On narrow screens, task rows become cards with the same actions and filters — nothing is desktop-only.
    • Dark mode. Light, dark, and system themes are available everywhere, from the landing page through the app, and your choice persists.
    • Calmer motion. Transitions are short, layout never shifts under you, and everything respects your reduced-motion preference.
  2. New

A notification center with per-event preferences

One bell for grouped workspace events, an unread badge that updates live, and preferences that let you choose what's worth a ping.

    Updates without the noise:

    • The bell. Workspace events are grouped in one popover with relative timestamps and an unread indicator that updates in real time.
    • Per-event preferences. Choose which event types notify you. Switches apply instantly and roll back with a clear message if something goes wrong.
    • All caught up. An empty notification list says so, plainly — no spinner pretending more is coming.
    • Profile avatars everywhere. Your custom upload, provider photo, or initials now appear consistently across members, tasks, notifications, and the account menu, in that order of precedence.
  3. Security

    Two-factor authentication and step-up verification

TOTP enrollment with one-time backup codes, plus re-verification before sensitive workspace and account changes.

Account security gets its own page and a stronger backbone:

    • Two-factor authentication. Enroll with any TOTP authenticator app via QR code, confirm one code, and you're protected at every sign-in.
    • Backup codes. Generated once at enrollment, copyable, and each valid for a single use if you lose your device.
    • Step-up verification. Sensitive actions — role changes, member removal, workspace and account deletion — now require you to re-confirm your identity at the moment of the action.
    • Typed confirmation. Irreversible deletions ask you to type the name of what you're deleting. Muscle memory can't do that by accident.
  4. New

The Pro plan and self-serve billing

Upgrade to Pro with an ordinary checkout, manage your subscription from a billing portal, and see your plan's real state on one page.

Billing arrives, and it works the way you'd hope:

    • Pro plan. Pro unlocks team invitations and higher member limits. Prices are shown up front on the Billing page.
    • Standard checkout. Upgrading goes through a normal hosted checkout — no sales call, no invoice email chain.
    • Billing portal. Active subscriptions link to a portal for payment methods, invoices, and cancellation.
    • Honest plan states. The Billing page distinguishes free, active, and canceling subscriptions, including exactly when a canceled plan remains usable.
  5. New

    Invite your team, with roles

Email invitations that carry a role, a Members page with pending-invite tracking, and Pro-plan member limits.

Workspaces are better with people in them:

    • Email invitations. Invite a teammate from the Members page; they accept through the ordinary sign-in flow and land in your workspace with the role you chose.
    • Roles and permissions. Owner, admin, and member roles gate what each person can see and do — enforced in the interface and at the data layer.
    • Pending invitations. A dedicated tab shows outstanding invites, when they were sent, and when they expire, with the ability to revoke.
    • Plan-aware limits. Member limits follow your plan, and when you reach one, the upgrade path is a real link — not a dead button.
  6. New

Workspaces, tasks, and a focused onboarding

Sign up, choose a username, and land in your own workspace with a simple task workflow ready to go.

The core of Acme is live:

    • One-screen onboarding. After signing in with email or a social provider, you pick a username and you're in — your first workspace is created automatically.
    • Tasks. Create tasks, move them through a clear status workflow, and edit or delete them with confirmation. Every row shows who created it and when.
    • A truthful dashboard. A fresh workspace opens on a getting-started view with real next actions. Stats and recent tasks appear once you create work, not before.
    • Workspace settings. Rename your workspace, copy its identifier, and — if you really mean it — delete it behind a typed confirmation.
